Evergreen MS student places second nationally at geography bee in Florida
Over Memorial Day weekend, Evergreen Middle School sixth grader Armaan Gulati competed at the International Academic Competitions (IAC) National Geography Bee in Orlando, Florida; the largest geography competition in the United States. Armaan advanced through the preliminary rounds, quarterfinals and semifinals, ultimately reaching the finals where he competed against top geography students from across the country. In a dramatic finish, Armaan secured second place overall after winning a tiebreaker. In addition to his finalist trophy, he also earned a plaque and medal from other geography-related events during the competition.
